What do you mean by fiber optical transmission, the cable line its self?

Do you mean instead of the old cable line for tv, use fiber optic cable? Is there such a thing?

1. A fiber optic cable is an electrically non-conductive glass. It carries information on a light beam that is send down it. Because of the carrier medium (light) it has a much greater bandwidth and can carry much more information that a copper cable. Yes, it can be used to carry TV signals. Also computer data, voice, ect.
