How do I identify that the lenses I brought are Transition lenses and not normal or fiber lenses?
I recently brought new spectacles with lenses made by Transition. How do I identify that the lenses made are by Transition and not any ordinary glass or fiber?

- Step out side in the sun
- take them outside and see if they change colors....?
- Thats easy the transtion will turn dark outside on sunny days just remember they don't work inside cars you will need extra sunglasses for driveing. regular glasses will stay clear
- There are other plastic photochromic lenses which are also available that turn dark when u go in the sun. The best way to differentiate them from transitions is that ordinary photochromics do not go as white/clear as the transitions do.(esp if its Transition 5 or 6) 5 & 6 are versions of transition technology. Transition is not a lens. Its a technology used to make white spectacle lenses to phtochromics. Transition can be with essilor lenses, zeiss lenses, hoya lenses etc etc. So if you buy a transition make sure your optician gives you an authenticity card of the original lens (e.g. Essilor crizal) and of Transition.
