What is the best vitamin supplement or other herb to take to boost your immune system?
During cold season one sees a lot of herbal supplements or other "miracle" pills to help ward off colds and other sicknesses. Vitamin C pills seem to work okay, but does anyone else have a suggestion? Personal experience?

- Many best vitamin supplement or herb to boost your immune system. i am also used the vitamin supplement for good health. Multivitamin is any preparation containing more than a single vitamin. Multivitamin is intended to provide a proper dietary balance by supplementing the diet with additional vitamins and minerals.
- Olive leaf or Colostrum. Both are very effective, but the Colostrum got me through 1 year of college when all my classmates got the flu & I didn't.
- Zinc and C
- Bovine Colostrum is the best.
- Echinacea, also known as purple coneflower, is an herb that strengthens the body's ability to fight infection. It is an immune system stimulant that increases one's ability to eliminate invading bacteria. Echinacea also stimulates the lymphocytes.
- Grapeseed extract is one of the most potent herbal supplements to boost your immune system.
- I have had a cold treatment that has worked for many. If you feel mucous coming on, start early with apple cider vinegar and cinnamon and or cayenne pepper in juice or water. This should preven a cold from setting in. If you actually get a cold, use the apple cider vinegar and cinnamon and add a drop or two of oregeno oil. If you have body aches, I would suggest making a tea with bone set herb and add honey for taste.
- Our immune system works very well and does not need 'boosting' (whatever that is). Where are the scientific references to this. Avoid quackery.
- Hi! I too, favor echinacea. Please, make sure you aren't allergic to it first, though. My brother had an allergic reaction the first and only time he tried it. Don't let that scare you, though. If you have many allergies to flowers, you might also be allergic to echinacea. One more note, echinacea shouldn't be taken longer than a month.
- Lemon oil, rosewood oil are both great at boosting the immune system
