For Vegetables

How to serve vegetables for picky eaters?

I am 23 and have 2 toddlers. I have never enjoyed vegetables, and have avoided them my whole life. Now that my little boys are watching what I eat, I need to start eating them. Some ideas for cooking veggies to make them taste great, would be fabulous!

  1. With Meat!
  2. For cabbage or other green vegies " add a chicken boullion cube to the mix" Peel and slice cucumber and baby carrots and dip in ranch dressing.
  3. You can spice up veggies by adding a little cheese. Broccoli & Cauliflower both come frozen with a cheese sauce that is yummy. My sister is not big on some veggies either, but she says that the smaller they are, the easier it is to tolerate. So, you might try using smaller bits mixed in other food. Good luck!
  4. Vegetable soup is always good, buy a bag of prepared veg at the supermarket, like swede, carrot, onion potato and add leeks, peas, any veg, then fry them all in butter, add enough water to bring to the boil and add a stock cube like chicken or veg. When everything is soft, whizz it up in a processor...looks like vomit but tastes great. Get the kids to do the whizzing.
  5. WELL DEPENDS WHAT VEGETABLES YOU NEED HELP ON LIKE BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER I COOK THEM IN A LITTLE WATER WITH SALT AND EAT THEM WITH LEMON OR I PUT MARGARINE ON TOP OF THEM ALSO TRY CARROT SOUP OR VEGETABLE SOUP IT'S REALLY GOOD I WATCH RACHEL RAY ON THE FOOD NETWORK FOR RECIPES TRY GOING TO FOOD NETWORK.COM THEY HAVE LOTS OF WAYS TO COOK VEGETABLES TRY GRILLING THE VEGETABLES
  6. It's not the veggies that taste bad, it's the way we've always perceived them, " Eat your veggies or no dessert", we were "forced" to eat them. My 3 year old Grandaughter can't get enough of them since we changed the way we eat them. At home only, we eat them with our fingers, no utensils, just like french fries, and we have a dipping sauce, diluted Ranch for the carrots and broccoli, and believe it or not even the green beans. Peas are more fun because you get to lick your fingers. Make it fun and they'll be asking for more.
  7. U simply fry them in salt , back pepper...
