Vegetables??

People who cannot do anything who get feed through tubes and have someone else decide there life for them because they are helpless wat is the real name for them I know many people call them vegetables but is there another name??

5. Looks like The Mrs. has that sowed up, but it is a good question because a "vegetable" doesn't sound very nice when someone is beyond helping themselves.
